Minority Scholarship Opportunities
From: Fabiola Carrion National LatinaAlliance Scholarship This Scholarship is for Latinas seeking financial assistance in pursuing a non-traditional career. These include, but are not limited to, seeking the following careers: chef, artist, entrepreneur, nursing, etc. Documentation regarding the career must be provided. Applicants will be contacted regarding appropriate documentation based on career objectives.
Application Deadline: March 31 Award Amount: $500- 1,000 To be eligible, you must have a minimum 2.5 GPA

The Sallie Mae Fund sponsors several scholarship programs and supports hundreds of other college scholarships. All of the programs! are based on financial need, as The Fund seeks to bridge the dollar gap when no one else can. With an estimated $3 billion in private scholarships awarded nationally each year, The Fund aims to send the message that money is available to those who make the effort to apply. Since 2001, The Sallie Mae Fund has awarded $10 million in scholarships to help 4,000 students enroll in college. During the 2006-2007 academic year, $2.6 million in college scholarships were awarded to more than 1,000 students nationwide.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund applications for the 2009-2010 year are now available at WWW.HSF.NET The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) has scholarships of $1,000 - $10,000 available for students in all disciplines, and in any class level. Last year, HSF awarded over 4,100 students nearly $26.5 million in scholarships.
Gates Millennium Scholars nomination materials are now available at WWW.GMSP.ORG The Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS) program is available for students enrolling at the first time in the Fall of 2009. Each year, 1,000 students are selected for this prestigious program. African American, Asian Pacific Islander American, American Indian & Hispanic American students are eligible for this program.
AAA is seeking applicants for 2009 scholarships. The scholarship is open to entering freshmen students living in Arizona and attending an accredited college or university in Arizona. Scholarship applications for the 2009-2010 academic year are currently available online. The deadline to submit an application is March 31, 2009. Interested students can go to www.AAAaz.com/scholarships to download the application.
